Classics Experience 2020
3-8 april – Classics Experience (Belgium) – 1.250,- euro*With CYCLOsportive / Bicycling we have come up with a super cool idea. We will cycle four classics with a maximum of 22 enthusiastic cyclists. Not the complete distances, but the last 100 km of the race. The routes have not been set out and will be driven based on GPS. A crazy idea for sure, but also a bucket list experience!
Marijn: You have come to the right place for a few days of carefree admission to a cyclo. CYCLOsportive takes care of the entire guidance, routes, registrations, etc. The team is complete together with the masseur and the mechanic.
Het Anker is a city brewery located in Mechelen. The brewery is located on the edge of the Mechelen beguinage and brewes the beers Gouden Carolus, Gouden Carolus Cuvée of the Emperor, Maneblusser, Boscoli and Lucifer. Not only is beer brewed here. You can also spend the night in the first brewery hotel in Belgium. During the journey through Belgium this hotel will be our base.
The Classic Experience is a collaboration between Bicycling and CYCLOsportive.
Programm:
Day 1 – 3 April
8.30 am gathering at hotel Het Anker. Welcome with a cup of coffee. Then we leave by bus to Oudenaarde for a ride of ± 100 km that follows the route of the Tour of Flanders as much as possible. After the ride we return to Mechelen and the participants can take a shower and the rest of the day is free to spend. Masseur can massage the legs and the mechanic checks the bikes.
Day 2 – 4 April
8.30 the bus leaves from Mechelen to Roubaix. There, the ride will start at 10 am on a number of cobblestone lanes of Paris-Roubaix. We finish on the cycling track in Roubaix. After the ride, the bus takes the participants back to hotel Het Anker. After the ride, the participants can take a shower and the rest of the day is free to spend. Masseur can massage the legs and the mechanic checks the bikes. After dinner, participants can enjoy a beer tasting.
Day 3 – 5 April
There is no cycling today. The participants are a VIP guest at the RVV. The bus will take us to the departure of the VIPS and pick us up again at around 6 p.m. Then the bus leaves for the hotel in Mechelen.
Day 4 – 6 April
8.30 am departure to Durbuy. From Durbuy we cycle the last 100km of the Waalse Pijl from 10.30 a.m. With as many passages of the Muur van Huy as the pros! From Huy, the bus takes the participants back to Mechelen. After the ride, the participants can take a shower and the rest of the day is free to spend. Masseur can massage the legs and the mechanic checks the bikes.
Day 5 – 7 April
8.30 am departure for the final stage of the Classic Experience. A loop of approximately 100 km will take the participants on the most famous climbs of Liège-Bastogne-Liège. After the ride, the participants can shower at the hotel Het Anker and there will be a dinner at the hotel.
Day 6 – 8 April
After breakfast we say goodbye to the participants.
